I enjoyed helping my friend with the finishing touches for her wedding, but between the heat, the dress I had on, and the organizing, my liquid foundation wasn’t working for my oily/combo skin.
I don’t know about you but after that day, I decided to kick liquid foundation to the curb and switch to a stick foundation instead during the Summer.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I love a liquid foundation but stick foundations takes it to another level especially during the heat.
I already have oily to combination skin, so I don’t need an added glow in the heat.
My first stick foundation I tried was Clinique Chubby Stick Foundation. It gets the three S’s: soft, smooth, and silky. It glides on like butter. They have 8 shades. It’s definitely full coverage but gives you that natural feel and look. This foundation is for all skin types and in the Summer it doesn’t budge.

I’m currently using Sephora Make No Mistake Stick Foundation and Concealer stick. It’s great but it’s no glide on. It’s drying but it gets the job done. I tried it out because it was during the pandemic and other brands were out. I don’t regret my decision to at least give it a try and I was specifically looking for a stick foundation.
It’s not patchy. The color I use is Koa, which isn’t shown on their website so I guess they’re out. I have caramel skin with warm/golden undertones...just FYI.
This foundation is great for oily/combo skin so I’ll say it keeps me shine free and it’s medium coverage.
Price: On sale for $8.

The last three I haven’t tried but can’t wait to. I’ve added these because I’ve either used their other products before or they’re new and I haven’t heard of them until now.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is one I know is great! Their orange concealer is amazing! It’s my holy grail concealer. Their newest one is Ultra HD Self-setting Concealer. I would usually use this to make my skin tone more even before applying my foundation.
This foundation is great for all skin types. It’s long-wearing, buildable coverage, and gives a natural finish. There are 19 shades.
