Breaking Fall Tradition

What we know when Fall rolls around are pumpkins, ghouls, and goblins, leaves, pumpkin spice and everything nice.

Traditions are usually passed down year after year, generation after generation but sometimes, people love to create new traditions. Like, something old, something new, something borrowed, something...orange. Yeah, I know that isn’t quite how it goes but you get the point.

I don’t know if y’all caught on to what people are doing but they’re breaking the Fall traditions. Yes, there are still some people who, like myself, still run to the usual colors of rust, orange, brown, green, you know, the colors of the leaves. The colors of Autumn. This year, it seems to be very different.

I’ve seen a lot of photos of traditions created by a new generation and bad-da-ba-ba-baaa I’m lovin it...no? Too much? Okay. Just checking to see if you’re still with me.

Some people are ditching the normal Fall color palette and are moving towards neutrals, blue, black, and minimal. Yep, some people aren’t going all out for decor anymore. Why? I honestly believe that right now, less is more.

This time around, I decided to share a few people I know and follow who are killing the game with these new traditions. Click on their name to view their page and you may as well follow them while you’re at it. Take a look below.

What I learned in this moment, is that you don’t already need to oversaturate for Fall for others to know that you’re in love with this season. “Life’s what you make it so let’s make it rock.” So y’all don’t know this Hannah Montana song? It’s okay, I won’t tell if you do. It was fitting with my message. Anyway, create the traditions that you love and that represents who you are.

Let me know in the comments below if you’re a traditionalist or love to spice it up with new traditions?

P.S. Once you click on their handles, you’ll be directed either to IG or Pinterest to view their designs. However, their handles are how you can find and follow them on IG.
