A few weeks ago I was having severe back pain when I woke up. I couldn’t understand where it was coming from. I honestly thought it may have been due to my lack of exercise. It actually forced me to get back into yoga. I thought this form of exercise would help but every time I would wake up in the morning, I would have the same back pain and it felt as though it was getting worse.
One night, I decided to try sleeping on the other side of the bed and see if it was either me or the bed. I woke up the next morning and there was immediate relief. So that only left one other reason, the bed. I rested my hand on both sides of the bed and felt a slight difference in the height of the bed. There was a small dent due to me laying in the same spot for so long but the thing is, I haven’t had the bed for a year.
When I woke up the next morning, I heard God telling me that I needed to get a mattress topper. I took a trip to Walmart and chose a mattress topper that was only $16.32! (see picture below)

Also check out my video of my mattress topper review on my stories on my Instagram page (@_janellew). Let me tell you, that was the best $16.32 I’ve ever spent for the quality of comfort I needed. It provided an evenness on both sides of my mattress as I laid down. I was so happy, I made bed angels lol. There was immediate comfort and softness. I’ve had the mattress topper for a couple of weeks and it still does wonders for my body as I’m able to sleep with ease.
My question to you is, Do you usually add a mattress topper to your bed when you first purchase it or do you just sleep on the bed itself? I’ve realized that some people do this. Even though they have a nice, expensive mattress, to make sure they have maximum comfort, they add an extra layer of padding.

I’ve learned my lesson and from now on, whether I have an expensive mattress or not, I will definitely add an extra layer so I don’t have to wait until I’m in pain to invest in one.
I hope this topic helped you and hopefully if you’ve gone through this, you can or have found some relief. Also, don’t forget to subscribe before you leave! Don’t miss out on upcoming posts and exclusive info you’ll only receive in your inbox!
